Preparing Legends Training and Tournament Teams

Beginning August 22, 2010, Preparing Legends will be offering two new opportunities for baseball players ages 8 to 12. As a result of numerous requests from participants in our summer camp program, we are offering the following:
Preparing Legends Training:

Beginning Sunday, August 22 through December 12, 2010, Preparing Legends will be conducting a developmental training program at the College of San Mateo.

The training will be offered in packages of five weekly practices, with each practice consisting of 2 ½ hours of training.

The practices will be held on Sundays from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Training will cover all aspects of the game and will focus on developing skills necessary for players to participate on a Preparing Legends tournament team.

The cost for the training is $300 per package, which includes five (5) 2 ½ hour practices. Players must attend at least two five week packages to be considered for selection to a tournament team.

The training is designed and under the direction of Doug Williams (Head Baseball Coach at the College of San Mateo) and Craig Gianinno (Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Serra High School).
Tournament Teams:

Preparing Legends is organizing tournament teams in age levels 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U.

The goal is for teams to participate in two tournaments during each training package.

To be eligible for a tournament team, participants must attend at least two training packages.

A select number of Preparing Legends Training participants will be invited to participate on a tournament team.

Should you be offered an opportunity to play on a tournament team, there will be an additional charge of $100 per player per tournament.

Additional tournament information will be provided to participants who are selected to a tournament team.

Any existing tournament teams are invited to attend Preparing Legends Training and to join our tournament team program.
Practice Information:
All practices will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the College of San Mateo, 1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard, San Mateo, CA.

Package 1 Dates: 8/22/10, 8/29/10, 9/12/10, 9/19/10, 9/26/10. There will be NO practice on 9/5/10 due to the Labor Day holiday.

Package 2 Dates: 10/3/10, 10/10/10, 10/17/10, 10/24/10, 10/31/10.

Package 3 Dates: 11/7/10, 11/14/10, 11/21/10, 12/5/10, 12/12/10. There will be NO practice on 11/28/10 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
